Jaew Hon Introduce
For New Yorkers seeking a unique and interactive Thai dining experience, Jaew Hon in the vibrant Jackson Heights neighborhood of Queens offers an exceptional taste of authentic Thai hot pot, particularly specializing in the bold, aromatic flavors of Isan (Northeastern Thailand) cuisine. Unlike typical central Thai establishments, Jaew Hon provides a cozy, trendy, and casual setting where the meal is a hands-on culinary adventure. This locale is celebrated for bringing the communal and richly flavored tradition of Thai hot pot right to the heart of NYC, making it a must-visit for foodies across the five boroughs looking to expand their palate beyond the usual Thai takeout.
The restaurant’s concept centers on an All-You-Can-Eat (AYCE) format, allowing diners to choose from an impressive array of fresh ingredients to cook in a simmering broth right at their table. This style of dining is inherently social and fun, perfect for groups of friends or family gatherings. The commitment to fresh ingredients and authentic, deeply flavored broths, such as the namesake Jaew Hon and the vibrant Yen Ta Fo, sets this spot apart as a true culinary highlight in the Queens dining scene.
The menu reflects both the hot pot experience and a selection of classic Thai street food items, ensuring there’s something for every craving. Beyond the customizable hot pot components—including sliced beef, marinated pork, various fish balls, and an array of fresh vegetables like watercress, bok choy, and morning glory—the kitchen also offers other Thai favorites. Patrons frequently rave about the delicious Garlic Fried Rice, which perfectly complements the spicy broths, as well as classic Thai dishes like Pad Kra Pow, Roasted Pork, and Braised Pork Leg available to round out the meal.

The Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Avenue/74th Street station is a major transit hub, served by the E, F, M, R, and 7 subway lines, as well as multiple local and express bus routes, making it easy to reach from Manhattan and other parts of Queens.
While the restaurant itself offers seating and table service within a cozy and intimate space, potential visitors should note its second-floor location. October 11 · Maci JohnsonThis Thai hot pot spot in Queens is a hidden gem! The price is great and the food is super tasty. The variety is impressive, with plenty of fresh meat and seafood options. The highlight for me is the yen-ta-fo soup — it’s the real star! Packed with flavor and perfectly balanced. Everything tastes fresh and authentic. Definitely one of my favorite spots for a comforting, delicious meal!
May 29 · Mimi ColemanThis was my first experience with Thai hot pot, and it did not disappoint. The broth was rich and flavorful, with the perfect balance of tangy and spicy notes. The garlic fried rice was an excellent addition, and the freshness of the meats and vegetables really stood out. And of course, you can't forget the classic Thai iced tea--it was the perfect complement to the meal.
June 03 · Jamie LIt's just different for me from other hotpot l been to. I found it small and limited on what was offered. They are very specific on time since they have little accommodation and have to turn them over quickly.
April 26 · s lee6 of us went out for dinner to celebrate my girlfriends birthday last night. What an experience. The food was amazing and the server was exceptional. One of our group has food allergies so the server checked the ingredients in the hot sauces and brought a special mango salad for him. This is what dining should be all about. Great food, friendly attentive staff, and a fun atmosphere.
