★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Soothr is such a great addition to Long Island City and is really helping put the neighborhood on the map. I've been to their East Village location once before and remembered the food being great, but it was always tough to get a reservation -- so I was super excited to try this new LIC spot. I've already gone twice since their grand opening, and here's what I noticed:What I ordered:Had Yai ChickenAu Suan (Yaowarat Oyster Pancake)Dungeness Crab KareeKaree Pu NoodlesBa Mii Pu (Dry Crab Noodles)Tiger Prawns Ginger-TamarindMango SundaeDurian-Inspired MocktailThe Secret BoxThe Had Yai Chicken was delicious, flavorful, and crispy. It's also a great bang-for-your-buck appetizer. The oyster pancake was just okay for me; it felt a little too soft and mushy. The Dungeness Crab Karee was tasty but definitely a hassle to eat since you'll need gloves and a claw cracker. It's MP on the menu and came out to about $88, so one of the pricier dishes. The Karee Pu noodles were heavy on the sauce, while the Ba Mii Pu (dry crab noodles) leaned too bland. The tiger prawns were the biggest I've ever had, absolutely delicious but also on the pricey side. The durian mocktail dusted with gold was a fun touch. It was a bit sweet and mostly coconut-forward, but I still enjoyed it.The mango sundae is a must-order. The mangoes were perfectly ripe and refreshing. I also got The Secret Box, which includes two desserts, but I'm pretty sure I got the wrong one. I received a blonde coffee crème brûlée, which was good, but instead of the passion fruit mango cheesecake listed on the card, I got what was clearly a chocolate mousse. When I asked, the staff insisted it was passion fruit, which it definitely wasn't. I don't like chocolate much, so that was a little disappointing. The interior is stunning, very modern and sleek with cool design details. Even with a reservation, there was a bit of a wait to be seated, and service was on the slower side. The staff seemed new and still finding their rhythm. Water refills and checks took a while, but hopefully that improves as they settle in.Despite some service hiccups and a few uneven dishes, I'd still recommend Soothr LIC, especially for their seafood and desserts. The Had Yai Chicken, tiger prawns, and mango sundae were definite standouts. I'll be back once dinner service gets smoother.
October 09 · Che JEvery dish we tried was amazing and flavorful - the best in my opinion was the Chicken Khao Soi. Sine was a great waitress and was super attentive. The atmosphere is beautiful and the service was amazing. Would definitely come back!

October 12 · Beejay-Grace JI want to share my wonderful experience visiting Soothr LIC with my group of four friends. Our server, Ploy, along with Sai, took excellent care of us and checked in on us frequently. They were friendly and attentive, making our visit even more enjoyable. Ploy was exceptionally knowledgeable, offering great recommendations. The food was fantastic! My personal favorite was the dish with Tao Hu Prik Gluer and Koong Karee. It was truly a memorable meal and a delightful outing.
October 12 · Onanong LaphaThe grand opening did not disappoint! The space is beautiful and they did a great job setting the vibe. Food was amazing and the new dishes for this location were all very well balanced. Food did take a bit but our server, Supitcha, constantly checked in on us and made sure our drinks were filled. As a local, so excited for this location and can’t wait to be back!
