11 Tigers Introduce
Welcome to 11 Tigers, a truly distinctive culinary and cocktail experience nestled in the vibrant heart of New York City’s East Village. Dubbed the city's first-ever speakeasy and restaurant with a "Thai heart and a Japanese soul," 11 Tigers masterfully merges the communal Thai 'sum yadong' drinking culture with the casual Japanese 'izakaya' dining style. It stands out in the NYC dining scene as an Asian-owned and women-owned establishment, offering an environment that is both trendy and deeply welcoming. This is more than just a Thai restaurant or a Japanese spot; it’s a fully immersive cultural and flavor fusion designed for a fun, elevated night out.
The unique concept at 11 Tigers revolves around its innovative menu that seamlessly blends the bold, fragrant flavors of Thai cuisine with the delicate, refined techniques of Japanese cooking. From creative small plates to signature entrees, guests are invited on a culinary adventure that breaks traditional boundaries. This exciting approach has made 11 Tigers a hidden gem for locals seeking a fresh, energetic ambiance, great food, and—most notably—exceptional, one-of-a-kind cocktails.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 111 Tigers NYC is such a hidden gem! The atmosphere is modern and stylish with just the right amount of intimacy—perfect for a night out with friends or a cozy date spot. The drinks are beautifully crafted, almost like art, and the flavors are incredibly unique. The sushi and Thai-inspired small plates are fresh, creative, and absolutely delicious. The staff are welcoming, attentive, and make you feel taken care of without being intrusive. The whole vibe is elevated but not pretentious, which makes it such a fun experience. Definitely one of the spots I’d recommend if you’re looking for something different in the city that combines amazing cocktails, great food, and a cool, energetic ambiance.
September 04 · Solveig ErvikHad a great experience for this Thai/Japanese fusion restaurant! Who would’ve thought such a hidden treasure existed upstairs! Food was amazing; highly recommend dishes shown below. In particular, the stone wagyu just melted in my mouth! I would say altogether, the food was a mix of spicy and salty mix; quite unique feel to it. Service and atmosphere were both great!
April 03 · Yvonne LaiStarted with ceviche and oysters. The ceviche was insanely good. So light and refreshing, very spicy!! One of my favorites. For mains we had the steak and duck curry. The duck was juicy, with super crispy skin. Very impressed with how well it was cooked, didn’t realize it came with noodles, the noodles were ok. But duck was perfect. The steak was solid.
June 06 · Michelle SimI can't say I was disappointed, but I was definitely expecting more from all the good reviews on red notes. So here's a few things with my dining experience. The oysters sauce tastes great, but they are not fresh oysters. So keep in mind if anyone got a bad stomach.I think they need new recipes on their fried batter, we ordered fried calamari and the curry fish. The fried calamari is not crunch or crispy, flavor is 👍🏼 tho. The curry fried fish was bad👎🏻 Again, the fried batter, fish crunch was hard, not crispy hard, it felt like it had been refried on it has been set out for too long.We really liked the Tom Yum fried rice flavor but the shrimp that comes with it is mushy. For the Japanese Don, although it is full of sashimi but it didn't have that freshness and sweets to it.So definitely need some improvement. Their cocktails are amazing. Ohh and definitely need more lighting. It is so dark in there. Put more lighting on the table so we know what the food actually looks like.
April 05 · Zumiko Lau11 Tigers was all over social media, but the real experience was disappointing. The seafood wasn’t fresh, and the dishes tasted like they came from a microwave. It felt more like a marketing stunt than a real restaurant.Prices were very high for such low quality.Would not recommend — there are much better options for Thai food in NYC.
