- The Noodle Champions: The Pad Thai and Pad See Ewe Noodles are the restaurant’s most popular dishes for a reason. The Pad-Thai is the national dish, featuring a perfect balance of sweet, sour, and savory with rice noodles, egg, tofu, bean sprouts, and peanuts. - Curry Excellence: Sawatdee is celebrated for its rich curries. The Panang Curry ($14.95) is noted for its high approval rating, made with coconut milk, green beans, bell peppers, and kaffir lime leaves. The Massaman Curry is another excellent choice, praised for its delicious, comforting blend of coconut milk, tender potatoes, carrots, and onions.
- Specialty Entrees: For a more adventurous main course, consider the Pla-Rard-Prik ($16.95), a pan-fried tilapia fillet served in a chili tamarind sauce with baby bok choy, or the Ped-Rad-Prik ($25.95), featuring crispy half duck with a chili tamarind sauce.
- Something Unique: The Pad Thai Curry (Signature) ($15.95) is a creative and delicious fusion dish that takes the classic noodle stir-fry and elevates it with curry flavor, offering a great twist that many patrons enthusiastically endorse.
While a few diners have noted minor concerns regarding consistency in portion sizing, particularly with some takeout orders, the vast majority of local reviews emphasize the food's exceptional quality and taste. Sawatdee remains a highly-rated Thai restaurant in the Philadelphia area, providing delicious, authentic meals that are perfect for a cozy evening in or a friendly night out.

Sawatdee Reviews
Very small portion sizes. The container pictured is for a red curry for which I paid extra to double the veggies - Not sure how much smaller the dish would have been otherwise. The total cost was more than most restaurants charge for this dish on UberEats and portion sizes are usually double. Chef yelled at the server when he went back to confirm if they forgot to add the extra veggies. Server also asked me not to use my AmEx as its fees are too high, which was fair. Curry was a bit watery but the flavor was ok.
July 18 · Kashika SharmaWe’ve lived a couple blocks away from this place for the last year and finally decided to try it. The only disappointing part is that I haven’t tried sooner!! Everything we ordered was DELICIOUS! You have to try the curry dumplings, you will not regret it.Definitely going back!
September 06 · Katherine TrantPhenomenal Thai food. The place is very bright, but not from the lighting, just the fun colors and items. The service is lovely, in many senses. The curry and soup were both delicious and a fair amount of spicy. The very spicy I order could have been hotter, but I realize that many people do not see face melting hot as a pro,so it might just be me. And excellent Thai iced tea, with a relatively minimal amount of ice...which is so rare
April 06 · Joe YatskyMy boyfriend and I love to get takeout from here! The massaman curry is delicious and all the ingredients are fresh!! We can always count on quick and friendly service :) definitely a neighborhood staple!
June 10 · Carmen VieytezI love Thai food, but this is the most flavorless I’ve ever had. You have to beg them to get any spice in there. Not my favorite.
