What is Worth Choosing
The extensive and varied menu at Eatzy Thai offers countless reasons to visit, but a few categories and specific dishes truly stand out as worthy choices for a local New Yorker’s dining rotation.
One of the greatest appeals is the sheer breadth of the Wok Stir-Fried Noodle and Rice section. The Pad Thai, a classic, is highly featured, but for those looking for something richer, the Pad See Ew, a wide-noodle favorite, is noted by customers for its generous portion size and great taste, suggesting it’s perfect for sharing between two people or for a very hungry solo diner. The Basil Fried Rice ($16.00) also offers a spicy, aromatic alternative to the standard Kao Pad (Fried Rice).
For the adventurous palate, exploring the specialties is a must. The Beef Fire Ramen or Chicken Fire Ramen ($16.00) promises a substantial kick of heat, merging Japanese-inspired noodles with bold Thai-style spices—a perfect example of their willingness to push culinary boundaries. The Appetizer selection is deep, with the Peek Gai Tod (Chicken Wings, $10.00) and Thai Dumpling (3 Pieces, $7.00) offering flavorful small plates that are ideal for sharing at the start of the meal. The wings, in particular, have been singled out as "very tasty" in customer feedback, a reliable sign of a must-order appetizer.
Furthermore, the Lunch Specials, uniformly priced at $12.00, represent exceptional value in the NYC market. Options like Lunch Pad Kee Mao, Lunch Kra Prao Over Rice, or Lunch Red Curry provide a full, satisfying meal at a price point that makes it an affordable and frequent option for local workers and residents. The inclusion of specialty curries like Green Curry ($14.00) alongside various stir-fry entrees like Pad Kra Prao (Basil Sauce) ensures that lovers of classic Thai flavors are fully catered to.
Finally, the "All you can eat" Korean barbecue service, combined with their extensive menu of Halal, Vegetarian, and small-plate options, positions Eatzy Thai not just as a casual eatery, but as a flexible dining destination. Whether you need a quick, delicious fix or a venue for a long, engaging group dinner, the combination of fast service, cozy ambiance, and an extensive, diverse menu makes Eatzy Thai a highly recommended choice in the Astoria, Queens, food landscape. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Even with all the negative reviews I decided to give this place a try because I pass by it every day.Once again with my two kids and wife, we came for lunch.No1 there to greet us so we sat ourselves. They had about 6 to 7 dishes.Chilly chicken looked the most promising but was cold and hard as rock.Every single dish was awful.Don't recommend anyone to waste their 10 bucks here because it's a total waste just pay 10-15 more and go to a good buffet.Worst of all the waiter denied us tap water and said the boss said we can't serve tap water.I told him this might get him into legal problems so be careful.Once again, NEVER AGAINHate that I had to write such a bad review. I always find something good to throw in there but not this time
August 28 · Shah NewazThe pad see ew was so good. The portion is pretty big i think 2 people can share it. The wings are also very tasty will def go back
October 13 · yulianaI did get there earlyFull were full.Only complaint is the food is not hot which will decrease the flavor .Service was great. And best part . It was less than 10.00 and the ice tea was very refreshing.
July 29 · hmt5oo hmt5ooI should have believed all the bad reviews but stubbornly gave this place a try. Unfortunately, the comments about the weird smell in the restaurant are accurate—it’s noticeable as soon as you walk in and sets the tone for the meal.We ordered the chicken lollipop, which wasn’t bad. The tom yum soup is what I was looking forward to, however, had the same off-putting smell as the restaurant and tasted rotten. After one spoonful, we had to send it back. The chicken red curry was okay, but the portion of chicken was small, and the rice serving was small—we ended up ordering a side of fried rice just to finish the curry. On a positive note, the chicken pad kee mao was good. The Thai iced tea, though, was mostly ice and not creamy enough, which was disappointing. The service was lackluster, with only one waitress working the whole restaurant. It took forever to get our order taken, and the overall experience felt disorganized. To top it off, the “cash discount” policy penalizes you for paying with a credit card—something every business owner should factor into their cost of doing business instead of passing it on to customers.Overall, not a great experience. The smell is unappetizing, and it’s hard to enjoy your food when you feel like you need to cautiously sniff every dish. I really hope they address these issues.
January 18 · Mimmoon CThe food was good when we went. I did notice a bit of a strange smell in the restaurant but I figured it was just something from outside. Overall the experience was great and I enjoyed the food with my friends as it was the only halal place we could find that week.
