Moo Yai Thai Restaurant Introduce
For New Jersey residents, finding truly authentic and satisfying Thai cuisine can sometimes be a challenge, particularly in shore towns. However, Moo Yai Thai Restaurant in Sea Bright, situated right on the beautiful Ocean Avenue, delivers a genuine taste of Thailand that has quickly become a local favorite. This establishment is dedicated to traditional Thai cooking, offering dishes that are celebrated for their balanced heat, aromatics, and rich flavors.
Moo Yai Thai provides a welcoming, casual, and cozy atmosphere, making it a perfect destination for various occasions, whether you're looking for a relaxed dinner, a quick and healthy lunch, or a convenient takeout meal after a day at the Jersey Shore. The menu is structured to appeal to both enthusiasts of familiar Thai staples and those eager to try more regional specialties, ensuring a rewarding experience for every diner. The restaurant prides itself on being a family-friendly spot, often highlighted by the charming and welcoming nature of the staff.
The dedication to quality is evident in customer feedback, which frequently highlights the intense and perfect flavor profiles of key dishes. For instance, the Drunken Noodles (Pad Kee Mao) have been described as "the best I have ever had," praised for the perfect texture of the noodles and the ideal balance of spice without excessive sweetness—a common pitfall in less authentic preparations. This commitment to achieving the right Thai flavor balance, which often includes salty, sour, sweet, and spicy notes, is what sets Moo Yai Thai apart in the Central Jersey dining landscape.

For those traveling by car, the location is conveniently linked by State Route 36 and is a straightforward drive from Exit 117 on the Garden State Parkway. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I ordered drunken noodles with chicken. This is no exaggeration, they were the best I have ever had. It was so good. The noodles were perfect, not all stuck together. The flavor was perfect, not sweetened to make up for the right spice. I will go many times again. The little 4-year old hostess was also remarkable!
September 03 · J. B.Here in Sept of 2025. I’m wondering if anyone is feeling the same way about this place as me. Don’t love leaving mediocre reviews bc I know how it can harm a business, but feel compelled since I am a true Thai food lover and this place has not been it for me. I’m from North Jersey originally and NYC where Thai food is usually easy to come by and delicious. Down here, it’s not so common. This place is the closest one to us so we usually order out of proximity. The flavors are bland and there’s not much richness to the food. For over $18 a meal, I feel like it should be much better. Am I alone?
September 12 · amandacreativa (amandacreativa)Update: Moo Yai Thai was featured on Diners Drive-ins and Dives. Season 42 episode 21. Watch On Demand. This place opened on April 2019. They started off with basic Thai dishes.Drinks, my current favorite is the coconut water with coconut meat. Also try the traditional Thai iced tea or the Thai tea with lime juice. Apps, I love the curry puffs. The pastry is very light and the stuffing is delish! Actually get the Moo Yai sampler and that will include the puffs, chicken satay, pork skewers and dumplings. Dumplings by the way has good portion of ground pork.Let me just state my favorite dishesPad Thai chickenSteak saladCoconut soup with chickenPineapple fried riceSeafood fried rice (good portion of crab meat!)Specials (dine in only)Steak cut in stripsCrispy duckPork cooked 2 waysChicken with peanut sauce (similar to chicken satay)Garlic shrimp which is the number one favorite specialDesserts you both enjoy the fried bananas and mango sticky rice.I go there many time you might see me thereEnjoy!
July 31 · fermbizz FermdiggityBest Thai I’ve had around here in a longgggg time. The papaya salad is super authentic! I ordered takeout from here and everyone at the restaurant was extremely nice, didn’t take long at all, and the food was still hot when I arrived home. The Thai fried rice was excellent and the curries were also authentic and very flavorful. I do think the mango sticky rice should be slightly saltier like it is in Thailand, but it still hit the spot. I’m so excited about this place - it’ll be my next go-to for Thai in this area!
October 08 · Sara WassTheir service is great!!! Normally we go here and the good is really good!! Today- was a different story, the food was not up to their normal standards. Could have just been an off day.
