Far from the typical Thai-American restaurant experience, this establishment specializes in traditional, often harder-to-find noodle dishes and street food that will transport your palate straight to the bustling markets of Bangkok.
The very name, "Sen Yai," which translates to "wide noodles" in Thai, hints at the restaurant's focus on the heart of Thai comfort food: the noodle bowl. While their menu extends well beyond just noodles, it's this dedication to authentic, flavorful, and hearty Thai classics that has quickly established Sen Yai Thai Noodles as a highly recommended destination for local Massachusetts diners. It stands out in the Boston area by offering genuine, complex flavors often described by customers as comparable to the dishes found in Thailand itself.
This commitment to authenticity is reflected in beloved menu items such as the spicy and savory Nam Tok (pork blood soup) and the rich, complex Tom Yum Sukhothai. The welcoming, casual, and cozy atmosphere provides the perfect backdrop for enjoying these intensely flavored meals, whether you are stopping by for a quick lunch or settling in for a satisfying dinner.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I HAD to write a review.. it's SO GOOD!!! I ordered off of Doordash because I haven't seen it before and saw the good reviews and noticed some very authentic recipes on the menu and decided to give it a try.No regrets, the Bai Toey drink brings me back to my childhood with the wonderful pandan flavor and tastes so refreshing as a tea. The Tom Yum Sukhothai was phenomenal, the broth was as balanced as my Yah's broth which really takes me back, too.I definitely want to try the chicken claw soup next time, since they definitely didn't disappoint with the classic tom yum!
October 06 · Ty LeeGive it 4.5 stars. We stopped by Thai noodles to have dinner. We ordered yum salmon, khao kha moo aka braided pork knuckles with sauce and rice, and leng zapp aka spicy pork soup with rice. For dessert, we had crepe cake with mango. The crepe cake isn't too sweet, and the mango is fresh. The Yum Salmon was fresh, and the sauce was delicious and compliments the salmon. It wasn't spicy at all.The Khao Kha Moo with rice was delicious, too. Fall off the bone, and the vegetables go well with it.Leng Zapp was good, but it was missing more lime. The staff was friendly, the food came out fast and the price was reasonable. I would highly recommend this place. It is the same owner as Thonglor.
May 11 · Calvin NgI thought Boston Thai food are all garbage until I met this restaurant. I have tried Thai food across many corners in the world, and this one is comparable to the one I tried in Thailand and the ones in the Thai immigrant community in Taipei.Taste is legit. Food is fresh. Thai milk tea is one of the best I have tried. Service is high quality and attentive. Price is super affordable.Folks if you want to have true Thai food in Boston you should not miss this one. 5 Starz.
June 08 · 鄭紹鈺The food here is SO GOOD. Originally planned to try Thonglor next door, but stumbled upon Sen Yai and immediately went in to dine. There was no wait (went around 8 pm on a Monday) the serving staff were very attentive and helpful with providing recommendations. *Not pictured* Their honey wings???? Unreal. Everything was well seasoned, flavorful, and warm. Will definitely be returning!
July 01 · Sadé GreenidgeThis Thai restaurant was recommended by a friend, and it did not disappoint—absolutely delicious! The Leng Zapp was amazing: the soup is sour and spicy, and while the first sip might be intense, it gets tastier once you get used to the flavour. The pork ribs were incredibly tender and flavorful—highly recommend! The pork leg had a slightly sweet taste, but it was well-seasoned and paired perfectly with the rice. The overall price is reasonable too.The only downside is the limited seating, so be sure to arrive early!
