For Connecticut residents, THE ASIAN INVASION Asian soups & foods represents a rare find: a multi-faceted Asian restaurant that maintains high quality across its varied menu. If you are in the Meriden area and your group has diverse cravings—one person wants Pad Thai, another desires Pho, and a third is in the mood for Korean Beef Bulgogi—this establishment is the perfect solution, eliminating the need to visit three different spots.
The core reasons to choose this restaurant are twofold: the exceptional variety and the incredible value. The lunch special, which includes an Entrée, a spring roll or salad, and a dessert for under $8, is virtually unmatched for quality, flavor, and portion size in the local dining scene. This makes it a must-visit for anyone working nearby or looking for a weekday deal. Furthermore, the commitment to fresh, flavorful food is apparent in dishes like the Yellow Curry, the rich selection of Pho, and the highly-praised Thai Basil stir-fry.
It is important to note the customer feedback regarding serving sizes on some a la carte appetizers. While the main course portions are described as abundant, some side dishes may be smaller than expected. However, the universal praise for the food's taste and the truly outstanding, courteous service outweighs this minor consideration for many patrons, who view the food as an "amazing" financial splurge and worth returning for repeatedly. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1What an OUTSTANDING place to dine at! Many gracious thanks, Asian Invasion! The service was prompt and friendly, the portions are abundant, and the flavors were so truly good!Prices were reasonable and the staff were genuine, polite, and quite courteous! You have a fan in me! 🍛🥟🇹🇭
July 27 · David GoliathThe food here is absolutely delicious, but it is a bit expensive considering how small the servings are.One item was $8 for 4 VERY small pieces of meat, this is a picture of the container after I ate the meat out of it. (I put a quarter in the container for size reference.)That being said, I will definitely be going back because the food is amazing and the service is amazing, I just won't be able to eat there very often because it will be a financial splurge.
November 09 · Althea MI stopped in as I had seen Asian Invasion's opening announcement awhile back, and I'll support a local family restaurant over a chain every chance I get. I ordered the mango curry special and wontons. The wontons were crispy and light, and the curry made with fresh vegetables, mango and chicken in a sweet curry with enough of a nice kick. I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner and look forward to trying more items in the future.
July 20 · Brian KBought some spring rolls and they weren't up to par that were big only with two shrimps just was not very appetizing very disappointed customer service was good I had my food to go unfortunately won't be buying from there
August 17 · Jennifer PuyarenaWe had a party of five. The restaurant is geared more towards carry out, but the service was excellent and they made room for our group. We had a variety of dishes including drunken noodles, shrimp pho, Thai chicken with cashews, edamame, fresh spring rolls and fried spring rolls. Everybody enjoyed the food. Everything I tried was excellent. But the massaman curry was the best by far. It had a deep, rich flavor and just the right amount of heat. It’s one of the best curries that I’ve ever had.
