What is Worth Choosing
For New York residents, Sawatdee Restaurant offers a compelling blend of traditional Thai cuisine and customer-focused convenience that makes it a must-visit in the Plattsburgh area. The food is consistently reviewed as "authentic" and "delicious," a testament to the skill and traditional methods used in the kitchen.
If you're looking for a signature dish, the noodle options are a strong recommendation. The Pad Thai is a classic, but the Tom Yum Noodle Soup is particularly celebrated for its rich, satisfying broth—a comforting and flavorful experience, especially on a chilly New York day. For those who enjoy an appetizer, the Crab Rangoon and the unique Avocado Rangoon are popular choices. The Kao Soi Curry, served with egg noodles, offers a taste of Northern Thai cuisine that sets Sawatdee apart.
It is important to note that while the food is authentic, some customers have found certain dishes, such as the Pad Thai, to lean toward the sweeter side. If you prefer a less sweet profile, consider exploring their extensive savory and spicy offerings, like the various Curries or the Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles). The availability of Vegan and Vegetarian options, where most noodle and rice dishes can be adapted by substituting tofu or vegetables, makes Sawatdee a remarkably accommodating dining spot for everyone in your party. With the option to dine-in, carry out, or have no-contact delivery, Sawatdee makes enjoying real Thai food easy and convenient, embodying why it has become a true local favorite for the New York community.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Sweet!The female chef/server is very friendly. She is from Thailand, the food is authentic but I found it to be too sweet. At 11:30 Saturday it was almost empty but by 12:30 there were no more seats available. The price is fair, the food is good. The atmosphere is ok, a bit cold. You feel like you are sitting in an old pizzeria!
April 12 · RoBearI like this place . The food here is really delicious — authentic Thai flavor. My husband loves the “tomyum noodle soup”; the broth is clear, and he finished the whole bowl!🥰🥰😘
October 10 · Abby HoangThe Cashew chicken is delicious! And the Pho too! Quaint little restaurant with great service and food!
April 16 · Kimberly SmithMy aunt and I stopped in for dinner after the total eclipse. The staff was definitely overwhelmed with the eclipse volume, but they were all excellent and friendly, never showing how crazed they must have been. The food was delicious, staff friendly, and well priced.
April 29 · CaseyWe had PadThai and Drunken Noodles to go. We were visiting from out of town and normally really enjoy Thai food, these tasted nothing like we have had before. Pad Thai was way too sweet and if it wasn’t for that would have been virtually tasteless, the DN was also bland and very disappointing.
