★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1First time having it since they reopened under new management. I was excited by the revamp because this was arguably my favorite restaurant in Providence.Sadly, I was really disappointed. It took over an hour for the take out order although the email confirmation stated twenty minutes. To be fair it was quite busy inside. The food, however, does not meet the mark. The crab wontons were half the size that they used to be and no longer taste homemade.
September 21 · Terren WiseTHIS PLACE IS FIRE. FAVORITE RESTAURANT ON THE HILL 💯 Really great vibes i love coming here with friends and eating family style. it’s great, delicious food that’s awesome to share :) lots of happy memories here.Favorite dishes are spicy fish, drunken noodles, and the mango sticky rice!!!! 😛🤞
April 08 · Constance WangA nice tucked away fusion restaurant with amazing flavors. If there’s one thing I recommend it is definitely the Brussels sprouts. The crispy texture with jam packed Asian soy flavor easily makes it THE best sprouts I’ve had. While the chicken wings were crispy, I didn’t find anything unique about it. Typical wings with a sweet and sour sauce. I wished they made a dish that fused the flavors from the Brussels sprouts onto the wings. The pad see U with beef was another good dish. Sweet flavor that’s nicely stirred fried. However the beef was a little bland and not tender.Overall, I would come back again because the flavors were on point. During busy times, the wait times are going to be 20+ minutes long. This is especially with the limited seating and only one server
February 10 · RCGreat food and BYOB in a cozy little spot.Fiery Pad Thai and Chili Wings were 10/10.
June 03 · Ty H.My experience at Champa Thai + Lao Restaurant was, unfortunately, quite disappointing. The restaurant has a limited seating capacity, with only six tables for four and one small table for two. Upon arrival, there was a noticeable wait, and not a single staff member acknowledged us when we entered. We were left to wait with no communication on how long it might take. When we finally got to order, we chose the Chicken Satay ($8.50), Laotian-style Soft Spring Rolls (Naim Chao) ($8.50), Stir-fried Vegetables and Tofu ($12), and Beef Panang Curry ($16) with brown rice ($3). However, the brown rice never arrived, and since the bill wasn't itemized, we couldn't tell if we were charged for it. The service was slow throughout our visit, and our water glasses were never refilled. To make matters worse, the check was dropped off while we were still eating, making us feel rushed to leave. As for the food itself, it was underwhelming, and nothing particularly stood out. It was alright at best, but not enough to make up for the lack of attentive service and overall experience. Regrettably, we don't plan on returning to Champa Thai + Lao Restaurant in the future.
