★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Would recommend this restaurant for the fast service, tasty food, and very nice (renovated) atmosphere and decor. We found the traditional dishes (like Pad Thai) to be a little bland, and quite expensive ($22 for pork, $25 for beef, $39 for lobster) - esp. compared to the other Thai restaurant which is literally next door and 40% cheaper. We tried the Fruit Curry Duck, which was an excellent crispy duck with a semi-spicy sauce - good size portion too. We paid $100 incl tip for two mains and two happy hour drinks.
October 10 · Konstantinos RizakosSai Tong Thai is such a beautiful restaurant — it feels like stepping into a five-star hotel. The atmosphere is elegant, and the food is outstanding. We tried the Fried Whole Red Snapper with Pad Ped Sauce, Spicy Pork Hock, and Black Spaghetti Pad Cha — all packed with bold Thai flavors. My favorite was the Stewed Pork Leg, so tender and flavorful. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and a special shout-out to Ploy, who took care of our table that night — she was so sweet and made us feel truly welcome. Definitely a must-visit for anyone looking for high-quality Thai food in NYC!
October 13 · Thanapol EngelHere for the first time and felt very welcomed upon walking through the door. The service was phenomenal! Not finding what we were looking for exactly on the menu, we asked for a recommendation based on our flavor desires and the suggestion offered exceeded our expectations! The food came out fast and it was very flavorful. The atmosphere was comfortable and we didn’t feel rushed whatsoever. Highly recommended!
August 21 · Chad GAmbiance (5/5): The restaurant is decorated with a beautiful interior with a 3D wall of wave made of wood! The light structures, wooden tables, and sleek bar helps to create a very cool ambiance. It feels intimate and cozy.Service (5/5): The service was super attentive throughout our whole experience. They checked in often and gave us refills as well.We came for their NYC restaurant week menu for lunch $29. Sadly there was nothing on the menu that I quite enjoyed and am glad I came to try the food when it was discounted. I came back to read some of the other reviews and agree that everything was slightly too sweet, or just generally off. The flavors are unlike other Thai restaurants, and were not personally my preference. Even the Thai Tea tasted weird.Khu Kling Taco - the meat was seasoned but a bit too sweet and dry for me. I did not like this one.Chive Cake - consistency of glutinous balls, chewy and dense, with chives incorporated within it. Kind of hard to mess this up but it also didnt have an impressive taste.Bak Kut Tae Noodle (pork leg) - the broth was flavorful but sweet. Half the dish was pork fat chunks which I did not expect nor want to eat (see pic).Saitong Pad Thai - It came deconstructed which was different. The pad thai flavor was unlike other tastes that I've had and much too sweet.
August 18 · Steph WThe Saitong Pad Thai with lobster was what I was most excited for. The lobster looked to be at least 2.5 lbs! The Thai Pork Hock was another standout. It was incredibly tender, felt like it had been slow-cooked for days, and was packed with flavor. For dessert, the Mango Sticky Rice was excellent. The coconut milk had a unique, delicious preparation, and the sticky rice was a beautiful blue color, perfect for summer.
