★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I came to this restaurant for the first time and really enjoyed the authentic Thai flavors — the food was very tasty. The portion felt a bit small for me, so I think ordering an appetizer along with the lunch special would make it just right. I’d love to introduce this place to my friends and come back again.
October 01 · Kan HFood tasted freshly made, adequate portions and nice atmosphere. The location is small, but it’s intimate and employees are efficient. The lunch special was a nice deal. I ordered the Crispy Lime Chicken, and it was delicious! It was a pleasant surprise. The dressing tasted like Caesar, but the chicken seemed to be breaded in a tempura batter, which was fresh and light.
October 01 · Latisha GHidden Gem for Thai Food in NYC – Tam MaiThis restaurant is tucked away up a tiny, unassuming staircase, but the moment you step inside, you’re transported straight to Thailand. The ambiance is warm and inviting, and the menu is packed with delicious options. Portions are generous, and the prices are very fair—especially the $15 lunch deal, which is an absolute steal. This has quickly become one of my favorite local spots. It feels like a true neighborhood secret, with hardly any tourists around. My go-to dishes are the green curry and pad see ew, both with tofu. They’re packed with flavor and always satisfying. I highly recommend them! The staff is incredibly kind and attentive (shout out to our server Tom!!), making the whole experience even better. If you’re looking for great Thai food in New York, I definitely recommend Tam Mai.
July 24 · Basha HDecent Thai food. Green curry was good but could be a bit more spicier, love the drunken noodles. Owner offers a 5% off if everyone in the party leave a 5 star review. They were very forceful and checked for everyone. It’s feels very forced and probably explains why this spot has so high ratings

You have to go up a small staircase to get to it, but once inside, the atmosphere is cozy and warm. The menu has plenty of tasty and generously portioned options, and the prices are reasonable, especially the $15 lunch special, which is a great value. You love their green curry and pad see ew with tofu, and you highly recommend them. You also mentioned that the staff is very kind and attentive, especially your server, Tom, which makes the whole dining experience even better.
